[Clinical Picture] Hypermetabolic bilateral kidney enlargement associated with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma

In September, 2019, a 36-year-old woman with no prior medical history, was admitted to the nephrology department of the Hôpitaux Universitaires Henri Mondor (Créteil, France) with unexplained weight loss, hypercalcaemia, and acute kidney injury (AKI). Physical examination revealed tachycardia and enlarged right axillary lymph nodes with no fever or hepatosplenomegaly. She had not previously received any nephrotoxic drugs, including non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Biological tests showed severe hypercalcaemia (serum calcium level 4·2 mmol/L) with low serum parathyroid hormone level (9·6 ng/L).
