Letter re: A transcriptomic signature that predicts cancer recurrence after hepatectomy in patients with colorectal liver metastases

With great interest, we read the recently published article by Wada et al. [1] entitled “A transcriptomic signature that predicts cancer recurrence after hepatectomy in patients with colorectal liver metastases.” In this study, the authors attempted to construct a gene expression-based model to predict the recurrence of patients with colorectal cancer-associated liver metastasis (CRLM) after hepatectomy. They distinguished gene expression signatures and constructed the transcriptomic panel according to the following processes.
